It has 22 rooms and a lift, and the rooms have been renovated in rustic wood with box-spring beds. The sizes are plain to see: singles of 16 m², doubles of 29 m² with twin beds, and a 24 m² double let for single use. All rooms are non-smoking, with free wifi.
The restaurant is the centre of the house. It cooks traditional Swiss and regional dishes, pours only Swiss wines, has a terrace and opens every day of the week. There is no pool or spa and no family room category, so this is a base rather than a place to spend the day. It suits travellers arriving by train, walkers and anyone who wants the village outside the door rather than a resort hotel.
