Hotel Spitzhorn opened in December 2013 as a 50-room chalet hotel near the centre of Saanen, 500 m from the station and 3 km from Gstaad. Every room has a balcony or terrace, and the views run to the Spitzhorn peak. The owners, Ilse and Michel Wichman, host it themselves, and the hotel bus collects guests from the station.
It is not on the slopes, but there is a ski and bike shop in the house. The wellness area is included for guests: an indoor pool, sauna, steam bath, Kneipp basin and gym, with massages and beauty treatments at extra cost. Family rooms sleep two adults and two children up to 11, and there is a playroom and a children's menu. Restaurant Poya cooks seasonal brasserie food, and the smokers' lounge has an open fire and a view. The hotel closes in spring and late autumn.

Dates for 2026/27 are not yet published. In 2025 the hotel closed from 30 March to 15 May and again from late October or early November to 11 December, so check before booking an early-winter or spring stay.
