The Bernerhof stands right next to Gstaad station on the car-free Promenade, which makes it one of the easiest hotels in the village to reach without a car. The hotel was founded in 1904 and rebuilt in 1978, and every one of its 46 rooms has a balcony. New majority owners took over at the start of 2026.
Food is the strong suit. Blun-Chi, a Chinese restaurant, holds 14 points in Gault&Millau 2027; La Gare does Swiss dishes, fondue and raclette, Pizza.Basta. covers pizza night, and there is a lounge and a cigar lounge. Downstairs are an indoor pool and a small spa with sauna, steam bath and Kneipp zone, and hiking gear and snowshoes can be borrowed free. Family suites of 63 to 70 m² sleep four. It suits families and anyone arriving by train; skiers should know the lifts are not on the doorstep.
No season dates are published; the hotel appears to open all year, but confirm for your dates. Outdoor parking is free and the garage is charged. Pets are welcome, except in Economy rooms and the renovated family suites.
