On our lists

Arc-en-Ciel has been run by the Matti family for three generations. It sits on Egglistrasse at the edge of the village, a minute's walk from the Eggli gondola, with the ski school office and a ski shop directly opposite. Gstaad station is about 15 minutes on foot, and the hotel will pick you up. There are 30 rooms across the main house and Chalet Micheline, plus apartments for four to six.

It is built around families. Children have a playroom with a ball pit, a playground and kids' bikes. The restaurant has been baking wood-fired pizza since 1976. The private spa is booked by the hour, and the chlorine-free Biopool opens in summer. It suits families with children and anyone who wants the lift close by.

Why book Hotel Arc-en-Ciel

  • One minute's walk to the Eggli gondola, with the ski school office opposite.
  • Children's playroom with a ball pit, a playground and kids' bikes.
  • A 55 m² private spa for your group alone, in one-hour slots.

The catch at Hotel Arc-en-Ciel

  • The heated Biopool is outdoors and open only from late May to September. Source
  • The private spa runs on first-come one-hour slots, so not every guest can use it every day. Source
