Ultima Gstaad is small by design: 11 suites and 6 private residences spread across three linked timber chalets on Gsteigstrasse, at the edge of the village. The hotel puts the centre a two-minute chauffeured drive away and the lifts very close, and the shuttle into Gstaad and a ski room come with every stay.
Stays also include à la carte breakfast, valet parking, the cinema and the spa, which has a 15 m indoor pool, indoor and outdoor jacuzzis, an outsized timber hot tub outside, a sauna, a steam room and treatment rooms. The residences have their own kitchens, bronze fireplaces and staff, so they work for families or friends travelling together. Dining changes with the seasons: last winter brought a Zuma pop-up, and the plan for 2026/27 has not been announced. It suits guests who want privacy and service more than village life on the doorstep.
